The Club Series · Episode 6
Some summers smell like sunscreen, and others smell like sea spray and freshly brushed teak. Summer, according to Michel Herbelin, falls into the second category: the summer of marinas, chic Newport, and evenings that go on and on on the deck. The sixth episode of our series.
Highlights: the renowned French brand from the Doubs region (since 1947), a Newport collection designed for yachting, the sporty Cap Camarat, and vibrant women’s styles—ranging from €299 to €900. The entire collection is available at the Club.
Herbelin: Elegance That Sets Sail
Founded in 1947 in Charquemont, in the watchmaking region of Doubs, Michel Herbelin is one of the last great French family-owned watchmakers. Its Newport collection, a tribute to the famous American port, has been THE watch for elegant sailors for forty years—and its Cap Camarat, a nod to the boat of the same name, is designed for sporty offshore sailing.

For her: mother-of-pearl, gold, and a hint of orange
V Avenue & Newport Originals
The V Avenue in mother-of-pearl with a Milanese bracelet catches the light like the inside of a seashell; its orange-leather counterpart is the collection’s summery twist. And the blue-and-gold Newport Originals embodies chic, feminine nautical style.

The Club's Tip: The Newport and Water
The Newport and Cap Camarat models are designed for life at sea—with generous water resistance and quick-drying textile or rubber straps. The dress watches (City, V Avenue) are better suited for the deck than for sea spray: rated at 5 ATM, you can keep them on for an aperitif on the deck. After every outing: rinse them with fresh water, just like the boat.
