The MiniLip, an iconic model from the LIP watchmaker, is back in the spotlight, embodying French heritage and craftsmanship from Besançon. True to its original slogan, “This isn’t a watch for little kids,” this educational watch appeals to both those with a sense of nostalgia and young learners alike, thanks to its unique design crafted to make telling time easier.

Its 29-mm round case is crafted from gold-plated, polished 316L stainless steel, ensuring both durability and elegance. The dial, organized into three circles, makes reading the time intuitive. The first circle, black, indicates the afternoon hours, from 1:00 p.m. to midnight, in harmony with the red hour hand and red numerals, allowing for a visual distinction from the nighttime hours. The second circle, in gold, displays the morning hours, from midnight to noon, also marked in red, perfectly matching the color of the hour hand. The central white circle clearly indicates the minutes with markings such as “and a quarter,” “and a half,” or “minus 20,” which are easily readable thanks to the gold minute hand.

The black and blue jacquard nylon strap adds a touch of modernity and authenticity. It features a gold-tone pin buckle—matching the case—for a perfect fit on any wrist. Weighing just 31 grams and with a lug-to-lug width of 14 mm, the MiniLip is comfortable to wear every day.

Equipped with a Miyota 2025 quartz movement, it offers remarkable accuracy of +/- 20 seconds per month. The flat mineral glass protects the matte silver dial, while the pressed stainless steel case back ensures water resistance up to 50 meters, making it ideal for everyday use. The MiniLip runs on a type 377 battery, ensuring a long service life.
