This French story began with Fred Lip, a mountain enthusiast, who discussed with his friend Lionel Terray, a high-mountain guide, the idea of creating a watch that would symbolize the extraordinary achievement of Maurice Herzog, the first mountaineer to climb Annapurna. That is how the Himalaya model was born, with significant input from Maurice Herzog himself, a close friend of Fred Lip.
The watch case is made of polished 316L stainless steel and has a diameter of 33.5 mm. The dial is white with rose gold hour markers and Arabic numerals, as well as rose gold hour, minute, and second hands. The crystal is made of sapphire for added durability.
The strap is made of genuine smooth blue cowhide leather with a glittery finish, measuring 16 mm wide, and features a rose gold-tone pin buckle. The watch is powered by a MIYOTA 8N24 automatic analog movement, offering high precision. It is water-resistant up to 50 meters, making it ideal for outdoor activities.
