In 2015, Klokers designed the iconic klok-01, drawing inspiration from the circular slide rule invented in 1630.
Designed as a timekeeping instrument, the dial consists of three coplanar, graduated discs whose chronometric markings evocatively recall mathematical calculation instruments. With its simple form, the straight-sided case stands out for its utilitarian logic and conveys a sense of balance and pleasure.
Created in the 1930s to help pilots navigate by dead reckoning, the circular slide rule serves as the inspiration for the klok-01, which is elegantly adorned with an azure blue and white dial. A blend of calm and serenity, the azure blue accents the immaculate space of the dial and subtly evokes the long-haul flights of aviators.
