Manufactured in Besançon, France, the T18 has evolved with the times to offer a new, impressive version: the T24. The history of this watch is rooted in the French watchmaking tradition, dating back to the mid-1960s, when LIP’s design office set out to develop a revolutionary quartz movement, the T24.
Originally designed for ladies’ watches, this caliber featured a simplified time-setting mechanism, but it wasn’t until 1969 that Robert Bischoff, Gérard Falin, André Voisard, and Roland Plumet of LIP succeeded in perfecting it once and for all. LIP’s technical teams worked tirelessly to improve the T24, notably enhancing the reliability of its central seconds hand.
