The history of LIP's "Himalaya" collection dates back to the 1950s, when the French watch brand LIP decided to create a series of watches as a tribute to adventure and exploration. In 1954, the famous French mountaineer Maurice Herzog achieved the remarkable feat of becoming the first person to climb Annapurna, one of the highest peaks in the Himalayas. This daring expedition, despite its challenges and dangers, made history and inspired the entire world.
