Here is the new version of Kelton’s 1955 watch, this time featuring a “Tropic” strap—a classic style from the 1960s, just like Kelton itself. The Tropic strap has always been a trusted companion for divers and other water sports enthusiasts, thanks to two key qualities: flexibility and durability.
The Tropic strap, which is now featured on the 1955 models, is made—just as it was back then—from vulcanized natural rubber, a process that uses high temperatures and sulfur to alter the rubber’s structure and make it more durable without compromising its flexibility. It also gives your strap a glossy sheen, quite different from the cheap silicone reproductions you’ll find just about everywhere.
