The history of the LIP Himalaya collection dates back several decades. In the 1950s, the brand needed fresh inspiration to continue standing out in the ever-changing watch market.
It was then that an extraordinary expedition made history and captured the world’s attention. In 1954, French mountaineer Maurice Herzog and his team made the first ascent of Annapurna, one of the highest peaks in the Himalayas.
This epic feat caught the attention of Fred Lip, a descendant of the brand’s founding family, and his team of watchmakers. They found in this expedition an inexhaustible source of inspiration for creating a collection of watches that would celebrate the spirit of adventure, exploration, and pushing one’s limits

The case of this watch is made of polished gold-plated 316L stainless steel, offering a brilliant and durable finish. With a diameter of 35 mm and a thickness of 10.6 mm (including the crystal), it is both understated and elegant. The screw-down stainless steel case back ensures optimal protection for the internal mechanism.
The matte silver dial is adorned with triangular hour markers and raised gold numerals, creating a refined and elegant contrast. The gold hands add a touch of brilliance, while the off-center gold seconds sub-dial at 6 o'clock lends a unique dimension to the design.
The domed K1 mineral glass protects the dial while offering excellent scratch and impact resistance, ensuring the watch's longevity.
The genuine black cowhide leather strap, with a crocodile-style finish, offers a chic and timeless look. It is 18 mm wide and features quick-release pins for fast and easy strap changes. The gold-plated steel pin buckle ensures a secure closure.
Equipped with a RONDA 1069 analog quartz movement, this watch guarantees precision and reliability. It runs on a 377-type battery.
