Maserati watches are Italian timepieces produced under the automaker’s name by the Morellato watchmaking group. As of October 31, 2026, 24 models are available in our store, ranging in price from 189 euros to 413.60 euros; almost all are quartz-powered and feature mineral glass. The real deciding factor isn’t the collection or the dial—it’s the diameter—because the range spans from 32 to 45 mm, and that difference is noticeable on the wrist.
Maserati is one of the most sought-after brands in our catalog and one of the least well-explained. This page explains who manufactures these watches, what sets apart the 10 collections we carry, and how to choose the right size. All figures come from our own records, as of October 31, 2026, and every watch mentioned was verified on its product page that same day.
Who manufactures Maserati watches?
Maserati builds cars, not watches. The watches bearing the trident logo are produced by the Italian group Morellato, which lists them among its brands on its own website, alongside Sector and Philip Watch. Morellato is an Italian company based near Padua that began in 1930 as a watchband manufacturer and has since become one of Europe’s leading watch assembly workshops.
This needs to be made clear because it changes what you’re buying. A Maserati is not a manufacturer’s watch, nor does it claim to be one. It’s a timepiece designed around an automotive brand name, assembled by a reputable Italian watchmaker, featuring standard quartz movements and a meticulous finish. In the 200- to 400-euro price range, that’s exactly what you can expect—and it’s fair.
A useful comparison is with Sector, which we also sell and which comes from the same group. Sector focuses on sport and functionality, while Maserati focuses on elegant Italian style. The same attention to detail in craftsmanship, but two opposing design philosophies.
The Collections on the Shelves, and What Really Sets Them Apart
Collection names don't mean much until they're organized by size and use. Here's what they cover in our records.
Successo and Royale, the two entry points
The Successo is the brand’s classic model, a 44-mm three-hand watch, and it’s the least expensive Maserati we have, at 189 euros. The Royale is the opposite: at 36 mm in diameter and 8 mm thick, it’s the slimmest and most understated model in the lineup. The 8-mm difference in diameter between the two models is the difference between a watch you can spot from a distance and one that slips under your sleeve.
Epoca, the formalwear line
The Epoca is the most classic line, with case sizes of 34 and 42 mm depending on the model. This collection also features the only Maserati watch with a sapphire crystal in our catalog—the automatic “Cœur Ouvert” priced at 389 euros—and the only one that reveals its movement.
Tradition, Goal, Style, and Challenge: The Chronograph Collection
These are the larger sizes, ranging from 44 to 45 mm, which include almost all of the chronographs. The Stile stands out with its faceted case and sapphire-coated mineral crystal, which is a step above standard mineral crystal. The Sfida and the Traguardo feature a rounder design. The Tradizione, meanwhile, is available in both three-hand and chronograph versions.
Sorpasso, the Mechanical Masterpiece
The Sorpasso is the only line that features an automatic watch with a visible movement, a leather strap, and a 42-mm case. As of October 31, 2026, we still have some in stock, but these are the last remaining pieces—which is the case for 6 out of 24 Maserati models.
Diameter: the only factor that can really make a gift a failure
Everything else can be worked out. You can change a bracelet, get used to a color, or simply not wear a watch that’s too big. The Maserati watches we carry come in a very wide range of sizes, from 32 to 45 mm, and two watches from the same brand that differ by 100 euros in price might not fit the same wrist. Here’s the rule we follow in the store.
| Wrist circumference | Recommended diameter | What You'll Find at Maserati |
|---|---|---|
| Less than 15 cm | 30 to 34 mm | Successo Lady Solar (32 mm), Epoca Lady (34 mm) |
| 15 to 17 cm | 36 to 40 mm | Royale in 36 mm—the only truly slim model in the line |
| 17 to 19 cm | 41 to 44 mm | Epoca and Sorpasso in 42 mm, Successo and Sfida in 44 mm |
| More than 19 cm | 44 to 46 mm | Tradizione, Traguardo, and Stile in 45 mm |
Measure around the wrist, at the bone, using a tailor's tape measure. If you're buying for someone else, check the watch they're already wearing—that's the most reliable way to find out the size. Our diameter guide explains the method in detail.

Three Things to Know Before Giving a Maserati as a Gift
Glass is almost always mineral in composition
Of the 24 available models, only 1 features a sapphire crystal, and 2 feature mineral glass with a sapphire coating. The remaining 21 have plain mineral glass. Mineral glass withstands impacts very well and scratches slowly, but after two years of daily wear, the scratches become noticeable. This isn’t a hidden defect—it’s standard for this price range—but it’s better to know this than to find out the hard way.
Fifty meters is not the same as one hundred meters
Our Maserati product sheets list only two water resistance levels. Check the rating before you buy. Fifty meters covers rain, hand washing, and the occasional shower. One hundred meters allows for swimming. A 50-meter watch that spends its life in the shower will let in moisture, the dial will get stained, and repairs will cost more than expected.
The chronograph—make sure it's actually one
Many dress watches feature three sub-dials that don’t actually measure anything. At Maserati, our product specifications state this clearly in the “Functions” section. When the specification lists “chronograph,” the pushers actually control a seconds hand. When it doesn’t, the sub-dials are purely decorative. That’s fine if you like the design, but it’s a problem if you think you’re buying a chronograph.
A quartz watch that stops isn't dead—it's just hungry. What kills a watch is a dead battery left inside the case, which eventually leaks and corrodes the movement. Our workshop provides a free estimate, and you don't even have to leave your home.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who manufactures Maserati watches?
They are produced by the Italian group Morellato, which lists Maserati among the brands on its own website, alongside Sector and Philip Watch. The automaker lends its name and its trident logo, while the watches are manufactured by an Italian watchmaking group based near Padua.
How much does a Maserati watch cost?
In our catalog as of October 31, 2026, the available Maserati models range in price from 189 euros to 413.60 euros. The Successo 3H—Gray, priced at 189 euros, is the least expensive model we have for sale; the most expensive is a Tradizione Chrono—Black Dial, priced at 413.60 euros.
Are Maserati watches mechanical or quartz?
The vast majority are quartz. Of the 24 Maserati watches available at our store as of October 31, 2026, 22 are quartz and only 2 are automatic. This is not a flaw. A quartz watch is more accurate than an automatic one and only requires a battery replacement every two to three years.
Does a Maserati have sapphire glass?
Rarely. Of the 24 models available as of October 31, 2026, only one features a sapphire crystal, and that is the Epoca Open Heart automatic. Two Stile Chrono models feature a mineral crystal with a sapphire coating, which is a compromise. All the others have mineral crystals, which are highly impact-resistant but do scratch over time.
Which Maserati Size Should You Choose?
Case sizes range from 32 to 45 mm. Above 44 mm, a watch will protrude from the wrist of a man of average build and catch on his shirt sleeve. Measure your wrist circumference, then allow 40 to 42 mm for sizes under 17 cm and 44 to 45 mm for sizes over 17 cm. The Epoca and Royale models, ranging from 34 to 36 mm, are the only small watches in the line.
Can you swim while wearing a Maserati watch?
It depends on the number listed on the spec sheet, not on the word “water-resistant.” Our Maserati spec sheets list either 50 meters or 100 meters. Fifty meters means the watch can handle an occasional shower and splashes. One hundred meters means you can swim in it. None of these watches are designed for diving.
Is Maserati a good brand to give as a gift?
Yes, as long as you know what you're giving. You're not buying a Swiss-made watch; you're buying a well-crafted Italian timepiece with a name everyone recognizes, at a price point that makes it a reasonable gift. The danger isn't the quality—it's the case diameter. A 45-mm watch given to someone with a slender wrist will end up in a drawer.
